Poetic, political productions are invited to the “umPolen” festival, mostly as German premieres, which reflect the state of Polish society, tell personal stories, reflect on their own work as artists and find a vivid language for it. With “45” and “Romeos & Julias unplagued”, the multi-award-winning ensemble Polski Teatr Tańca from Poznań opens our festival with a “double whammy”. And sets the stage for a dense festival programme with dance, performance and theatre, workshops and discussions.
