16. November 2023INTERNATIONAL DANCE ARTIST SERVICE
iDAS NRW is a service and support program for contemporary dance companies and choreographers from North Rhine-Westphalia. We are convinced that every artistic development needs an administrative basis in order to reach beyond small circles. Therefore we invest in giving visibility and backing to the individual artistic process: before, during, as well as after the creation process.
iDAS NRW counsels and supports professional contemporary dance companies from NRW in production and distribution affairs: writing applications, budgeting, production, touring.
iDAS NRW supports professional networking and communication, the dynamic exchange of information and know-how transfer.
iDAS NRW increases opportunities for research and coaching by organizing one-to-one meetings as well as international symposiums on dance related issues.
iDAS NRW supports the development of entrepreneurial skills to ensure that companies, artists and producers have a deeper sense of their markets and how to position themselves.
iDAS NRW encourages strategic collaboration and better knowledge and resource sharing between dance artists.
The selection of companies represented by iDAS NRW is chosen by a board of trustees. The spectrum of companies ranges from contemporary dance, performance, installative works (indoors and outdoors) to hip hop theatre, dance theatre and productions for children and young people. The close association with the tanzhaus nrw grants iDAS access to the longstanding experience of the tanzhaus nrw and ist vast international network, thereby providing a valuable foundation for iDAS NRW.
