Romping, scuffling and fighting as an intensive physical dialogue are the focus of our new performance “ZOO-Jutsu”, to which we cordially invite you.

Together with six other players, the ZOO collective is testing the latest version of the performative card game “ZOO-Jutsu”. In arenas, whimsical beings such as “Glitschwisch”, “Krabbata” and “Vulva-Gelächter” use sounds, looks, grimaces, muscle power and touch to negotiate a physical dialogue without a preconceived agenda. Disarmed and far from phonetic language, we encounter each other as characters in this game. Physical learning and knowledge questions the ingrained thought patterns and opinions. Which dialogical and democratic potentials does this form of encounter awaken? What physical theses can we formulate together through this?

Those who attend our Rangel Arena in the Quartiershalle in the Kofabrik Bochum may come one step closer to the answer.
