Nature has become an artefact, humans and plants have become siblings – they have entered into a new provocative union. After the end of the reformation of the world as we knew it, the new-humanoid existence will emerge and feel out its powers in an archipelago of possibilities: invisible biological entanglements and symbioses in which consanguinity and reproduction of the human species are a thing of the past. Electrified beings form hybrid, space-grasping and tentacled interfaces. They follow a sensory of restlessness, ready to transform. Architecture, dance and music take up this vision and form a completely new alliance in ARCHIPEL: The sculpture created by the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto is not only a stage, landscape and shelter, it is also a musical instrument whose sounds dancers and musicians together evoke, record and spin on. The choreography by Stephanie Thiersch and the music by Brigitta Muntendorf work with the mixing of genres in the search for understanding. We are all connected.
