Their work is characterised by a special approach to spaces in a field of tension between narration and formal alienation. For each idea, each theme, they look for the appropriate space, narrative and format. Their aesthetically and contextually complementary work leads to an idiosyncratic artistic signature characterised by profound poetry and irritation, which can be located at the interface of dance and performing arts.

Kathrin Spaniol and Morgan Nardi have been working together in different constellations for 20 years. With their first project "Von Rosen, da beißt sie ab" they won first prize at the choreographic competition "Tendances 2002" in Luxembourg. They have been working together continuously since 2016, in 2016 with the production "Flop", 2018 with "Deluxe", 2019 with "Das geheime Projekt", 2020 with "Laudatio", 2022 with "Die Führung" and "Schattenblick" and 2023 with "Schönheit", always co-produced by FFT Düsseldorf. They have been granted 3-year funding from the Düsseldorf Department of Culture until 2024. Spaniol Nardi are currently winners of the City of Düsseldorf's sponsorship award in the performing arts category.
