Live presentation MoveApp // CocoonDance // 25/6/21 // Dringeblieben

With a live event streamed from the Theater im Ballsaal in Bonn, the CocoonDance company presents the final version of its MoveApp. Together with the audience connected via stream, choreographer Rafaële Giovanola and dancers from the Junior Company and CocoonDance and students from the Centre for Contemporary Dance will explore the MoveApp, a new form of dance mediation and at the same time an instrument for artistic reflection. Beforehand, a panel of experts in art education, digitalisation and dance discusses what is new and special about this medium.

The MoveApp is based on the glossary work of CocoonDance, a new form of dance mediation and at the same time an instrument for artistic reflection. Initially a mere by-product of the artistic work on pieces such as MOMENTUM, VIS MOTRIX and HYBRIDITY, it has since proven itself more and more in communication and exchange with non-academically as well as professionally trained dancers.

The MoveApp, which is now presented and free of charge for the user, is the digital and interactive extension of the glossary work, which aims to reach all people seeking inspiration for movement as well as professional dance mediators through this medium. As a demo version, the MoveApp was tested for over a year by professional dance educators at the Tanzhaus Zürich, the ADC Geneva, the Théâtre du Crochetan in Monthey and, of course, by CocoonDance and the Bonn Junior Company themselves.
