Under her own label tanzfuchs PRODUKTION, Barbara Fuchs has already created numerous plays, for adults as well as for children. Together with composer Jörg Ritzenhoff, she goes to the crossroads of acoustics, dance and aspects of visual arts in order to explore new artistic spaces for dance. With cleverly composed, always humorous perceptive irritations, she creates unforeseen references to body, sound and space, always showing the courage to be radical.
Barbara Fuchs worked as a dancer with different choreographers such as Frey Faust, Gabriella Staiger, Silke Z., Companhia Paulo Ribeiro, and many more. She engineered and created a number of light and stage designs before going on to develop her own choreographies. With her first solo in 2003, “durchleuchtet“, she founded tanzfuchs PRODUKTION as well as the choreographer’s network BARNES CROSSING with Ilona Pászthy, Suna Göncü, Gerda König and Dyane Neiman in 2006. Since 2009, she has also been producing dance plays for the littlest toddlers – like “Kopffüßler (headwalkers) – a dance performance for children from 0 to 4 years of age“ in 2010.
